This is the highest stand available and extremely solid and durable, with an extra wide base for increased stability for supporting high payloads at heights of up to 22′ (6.7m). The Mombo Combo (aka Daddy Long Legs) has a metal collar on the top riser for attaching stabilizing Guy wires or ropes. The 1 1/4″ thick steel legs also have adjustable portion for smaller adjustments.
**Wind advisory — large frames at height.** 20x20 frames create significant wind load on stands, even at moderate speeds. Manufacturer (Matthews) cautions that slight wind is a hazard at the maximum height of Mombo Combo stands. Neighbourhood Studios recommends:
- Sandbags on every stand leg + guy ropes deployed at all times
- Solids (blackout, duvetyne) lowered or struck above 10 kt gusts
- All 20x20 frames lowered or struck above 15 kt gusts
- Wind speed monitored continuously by a designated crew member
