Hours & Location
What are your hours?
Neighbourhood Studios is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You can pick up or return equipment at any time — including holidays, early mornings, and late nights.
Where are you located?
We're located at 24 McGee Street in Toronto's Studio District (postal code M4M 2K9). We're easily accessible from the DVP and Gardiner, with parking available on site.
What area do you serve?
We serve Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), and Southern Ontario. Equipment pickup is available 24/7 at our Studio District location, and we offer delivery across the region.
Do you deliver equipment?
Yes. We offer equipment delivery and pickup across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Our delivery fleet operates 24/7, so we can get gear to your set whenever you need it.
Pricing & Rental Terms
How does pricing work?
We offer three pricing tiers: daily rates, weekly rates (approximately 3.5x the daily rate), and 4-week rates (approximately 3x the weekly rate). Multi-day rentals automatically receive the best available rate. Custom pricing is available for recurring productions and large packages.
Do you offer discounts for multi-day or weekly rentals?
Yes. Our weekly rate is approximately 3.5x the daily rate (rather than 7x), and our 4-week rate is approximately 3x the weekly rate. These discounts are applied automatically. For recurring bookings or large packages, contact us for custom pricing.
What do I need to rent equipment?
You'll need a valid credit card for the rental deposit and a valid photo ID. For first-time rentals, we may ask for a brief production reference. No account setup fee — you can rent on your first visit.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are recommended, especially for high-demand items like cinema cameras and large lighting kits. However, we maintain walk-in availability for many items. Call us at (647) 748-0155 or submit a request online to check availability.
How quickly can I get a quote?
We typically turn around quotes within an hour during business hours. If you have an equipment list ready, call us at (647) 748-0155 and we can often price it on the spot.

What happens if equipment is damaged during my rental?
Normal wear is expected and covered. For damage beyond normal use, the renter is responsible for repair or replacement costs. We recommend production insurance for all rentals. As a Profoto Authorized Repair Center, we handle many repairs in-house, which helps keep costs down.
Do you rent to film students?
Yes. We work with film students from TMU, York, Sheridan, Humber, and other Toronto-area schools regularly. You'll need a valid credit card for the deposit. We can help you choose equipment that fits your project and budget.
